How to Lose Visceral Fat

If you want to lose visceral fat fast, perform high intense interval training before breakfast for 10-20 minutes. That's all you need. And if you do it 3 times per week, you will be fine, if you do other training suggested in this article. The type of interval training I'm talking about here is the type where you run at a high pace for 1 minute and walk for 1 minute. Run 5-8 times and walk 5-8 times for a total of 10-16 minutes of cardio.

Visceral fat surrounds your internal organs, mostly in the stomach region, and is the reason so many people have big bellies. This is the really dangerous fat, directly linked to diabetes, heart attack, high blood pressure, stroke and some cancers. It is full of hormones and toxins, which, when released, go directly to the liver or into the bloodstream. The more visceral fat your body carries, the more likely you are to develop any of the above diseases or conditions, all of which can incapacitate or kill you.

The main risk of visceral fat stems from a process in which the liver metabolizes this fat and turns it into bad cholesterol. This bad cholesterol is then released into the blood stream and slowly clogs your arteries from within. This is a process which can lead to potentially fatal conditions like a heart attack.

However, when eating protein sources, refrain from frying them or loading them with a lot of shortening or salt. Reduce your fat intake. These include butter, mayo, fatty salad dressings, margarine, and shortenings. You can try lower fat varieties, but if you can avoid them all throughout, the better.
